Do All Infinitis Have Android Auto & When Did They Get It?

The latest Infiniti vehicles integrated Android Auto with the marque’s infotainment system.

Most smartphone-compatible Infiniti vehicles got Android Auto in 2020, with the Q50 sedan, Q60 coupe, QX50 crossover, and QX80 SUV leading the way.

Wireless smartphone charging and voice recognition are integral to the newer infotainment systems.

Check the corresponding table to see when each Infiniti vehicle below has Android Auto.

Meanwhile, iOS device users may find the Infinitis with Apple CarPlay post useful.

Infiniti Cars with Android Auto

#1 Infiniti Q50

The Q50 is an entrant in the small luxury sedan segment with several all-stars like the Lexus IS 350, Audi A4, BMW 3 Series, and Mercedes-Benz C-Class – all with wireless or cabled Android Auto integration, depending on the model year.

2020 saw Android Auto functionality added to the standard features list for the Infiniti Q50, although none can connect wirelessly.

The rest of the first-gen Infiniti Q50 models from 2014 to 2019 aren’t Android Auto compatible, leaving the USB ports the only possible connection points for electronic devices.

#2 Infiniti Q60

Infiniti no longer produces the four-seater Q60 after 2022, following a six-year run in the luxury coupe segment.

Still, it exited the market with the Infiniti Q60’s final three model years – 2020, 2021, and 2022 – sporting wired Android Auto integration.

Other second-generation Infiniti Q60 models from 2017 to 2019 (and older-gen models) did not have Android Auto compatibility.

#3 Infiniti Q70

The Q70 was a large V8-equipped sedan produced between 2014 and 2019.

Car buyers interested in getting a used Infiniti Q70 with smartphone functionality will be disappointed with the sedan’s lack of support for Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.

Infiniti SUVs with Android Auto

#4 Infiniti QX30

The QX30’s unique form blurs the distinction between coupe, hatchback, and SUV.

Still, the QX30 small SUV had a relatively short run, debuting in 2017 and ceasing production at the end of 2019.

Regardless, the Infiniti QX30 left buyers wanting on the technology front, with no Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, so users had to rely on Bluetooth for connecting devices.

#5 Infiniti QX50

The QX50 is a compact crossover with several pluses, including a spacious interior, a roomy cargo area, and a quiet and comfortable cabin at highway speeds.

SUV shoppers desiring an Infiniti QX50 with Android Auto integration should opt for a 2020 or newer model, although none could connect wirelessly for added convenience.

Older models of the Infiniti QX50 generation from 2014 to 2019 did not support Android Auto functionality.

#6 Infiniti QX55

If you want a more stylish compact Infiniti crossover than the QX50, the QX55 is the answer.

Since debuting in 2022, the Infiniti QX55 small SUV has had  Android Auto smartphone integration as a standard provision; however, none has gained wireless connectivity.

#7 Infiniti QX60

The QX60 competes against popular models like the Acura MDX and Audi Q7 in the midsize three-row premium SUV segment.

Infiniti QX60 SUVs since 2022 have had standard equipment lists that include Android Auto, although the smartphone functionality only works with a USB cable.

However, all first-generation Infiniti QX60 models between 2014 and 2020 were not Android Auto compatible.

#8 Infiniti QX70

The QX70 was an exciting performance SUV, but its presence was relatively short-lived, with the automaker producing the model from 2014 to 2017.

Still, no Infiniti QX70 models had Android Auto or Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, regardless of the model year.

#9 Infiniti QX80

The QX80 is a large family-hauling three-row SUV, seating up to seven or eight occupants, and has a high enough tow rating for most jobs.

Android Auto smartphone integration has been a standard feature in the full-size Infiniti QX80 SUV since 2020, while the wait continues for those wishing for wireless connectivity.

2019 and older Infiniti QX80 models did not have Android Auto support, leaving the USB ports as the means to connect electronic devices.
